It spans an area of around 1,412 square kilometers, consisting of diverse ecosystems including deciduous forests, scrubland, grasslands, and rocky hills.

Apart from the Asiatic lions, Gir National Park is also home to a variety of other wildlife species, including leopards, Indian deer (chital), sambar deer, four-horned antelope (chousingha), striped hyenas, wild boars, and numerous bird species. The park offers a unique opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat through jeep safaris organized by the forest department.

Shiv Mandir

The Somnath Temple is located in the Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval in the state of Gujarat, India. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and holds significant religious and historical value.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are considered to be the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. The original temple was said to have been built by Lord Soma (the Moon God) himself, and it has been mentioned in various ancient Hindu scriptures.
